Monday, May 12th
Postpartum Support Circle
10am-11am
Cost: Free
Who should attend: Parents in their 1st year postpartum
This group focuses on supporting parents during the postpartum period. Along with building community, we will chat about relevant topics for parents and babies such as feeding, sleep, and play. This will be more of a coffee chat vibe, so bring your questions. Coffee and tea will be provided. This group will continue on a weekly basis throughout the summer! Pre-crawling babies are welcome to attend with you.

Flange Fitting and Pumping Consult
11am-1PM
Cost: Free
Who should attend: Parents with questions about pumping, or who would like to get fitted or checked for appropriate flange size
A properly fitting breast pump flange can make all the difference in your pumping experience! Research shows that when your pump flange fits well, you experience greater, more efficient milk output and increased comfort during pumping. Come in to Year One Wellness for an individual flange fitting with Heather Eure, IBCLC to improve your pumping experience. Bring your pump and any pump accessories you have; we'll have silicone flange inserts and hard plastic flanges in a wide variety of sizes for you to try on!

Tuesday, May 13th
Mommy & Me Postpartum Workout
1pm-2pm
Cost: $5 Per Adult
Who should attend: People at any stage postpartum, babies encouraged
Join us for a 45-minute postpartum workout, focusing on gentle mobility and strengthening exercises to help you feel your best! Activities will be tailored to safely include your baby, for a fun way to build connection. This workout will be led by Dr. Jessica Chastka, a pelvic floor physical therapist with Lady Bird Physical Therapy. Pre-crawling babies are welcome to attend with you, but are not required for you to participate. Childcare will be provided by pediatric therapists with Year One Wellness if your babies don’t feel like exercising. Workout will take place on play mats, but feel free to bring your own yoga mat or baby blanket.

Wednesday, May 14th
Supporting Seedlings, Baby Playgroup
10am-11am
Cost: $5 Per child
Who should attend: Babies, birth to sitting
A playgroup designed to assist parents in promoting tummy time, movement, and play through a range of activities that engage all the senses. This playgroup will encourage questions and provide an opportunity for parents to learn how to play and bond with their baby through a variety of activities and conversation. This group will continue on a weekly basis throughout the summer. 2 parents may attend per child.

Workshop: Screening for torticollis and plagiocephaly
1 L-CERP, pending approval
2pm-3pm
Cost: Free
Who should attend: Infant and healthcare providers who work with babies such as: pediatricians, nurses, pediatric dentists, lactation consultants, doulas, sleep consultants, daycare teachers, and therapists.
You will learn how to screen for torticollis and plagiocephaly, and how these impairments can affect infant feeding (breastfeeding, bottle feeding and solid foods), and development. You will also learn how to present this information to parents, and current best practices for referrals to specialty-trained physical and occupational therapists. Presentation will be supported with valid and reliable research-based standardized tests and research publications. This class will count toward 1 L-CERP, pending approval. Stay after for a tour of the clinic and some networking!

Thursday, May 15th
Infant Developmental Screening
9am-12pm
Cost: Free
Who should attend: Parents and babies with developmental concerns, looking for guidance from one of our specialty-trained pediatric therapists
Year One Wellness is offering a free screening event focused on assessing for torticollis/body tension, head shape/head flattening, feeding skills (breast, bottle, solids), and motor milestones for infants birth through walking. This event is designed to help parents identify any developmental concerns early on, ensuring their child is meeting key physical and motor milestones as they grow. We will offer 20 minute time blocks to discuss your concerns, screen developmental skills, and provide helpful tips.

PIP Newborn Group

Cost: Free
Who should attend: Parents of newborns (2-16 weeks)
Join Partners in Parenting (PIP) for 8-week, community-building groups designed to support new parents through the early stages of parenthood. The newborn group is a warm, welcoming space to share the highs and lows of new parenthood, connect with others, and receive support through meaningful conversation and community.

Friday, May 16th
Budding Babies, Baby Playgroup

Cost: $5 PEr Child
Who should attend: Babies, sitting to walking
A playgroup for older babies to play, socialize, and learn! This group will emphasize sensory exploration and play to support the development of fine and gross motor skills, while also offering parents the chance to learn and ask questions about their child's development. This group will continue on a weekly basis throughout the summer, encouraging development and opportunities for social skill building through sensory exploration and interaction with peers.

Grand Opening & Networking Party

Who should attend: Local birth providers, friends, and families who have worked with us
Come celebrate with us! See our new clinic, sip on some beverages, mingle, and win some prizes! Snacks and drinks will be provided. This event is intended for adults, but children may attend. Don’t forget to bring your marketing materials!

PIP Baby Group

Who should attend: Parents of babies (5-12 months)
Join Partners in Parenting (PIP) for 8-week, community-building groups designed to support new parents through the early stages of parenthood. The baby group is a weekly, facilitated gathering for parents and caregivers of all genders to build friendships, share experiences, and engage with their babies in a cozy, baby-friendly space.
